Welcome to Harrison Parks and Recreation!  We are continually committed to your healthy lifestyle and that is why we strive to offer quality programs to the area youth and adults.  The programs we offer each year expands.  This year our Community First Bank Sports Complex, formerly known as the Millbrook Sports Complex on Industrial Park Road is expanding. New fields, more parking and a concession/restroom area are being added even as you read this.  The addition is expected to be completed in time for the 2008 Summer Season. 

            The HarrisonParks and Recreation Department also maintains several other facilities including the First National Bank Soccer Complex, Minnie Harris  Park, LakeHarrison, the Firestation Field, Brandon Burlsworth Youth Center and City Pool.

The Harrison Parks staff offices are located at the Brandon Burlsworth Youth Center, 202 S. Spring St. in Harrison. John Phillips is the Parks and Recreation Director and has been for 17 years.  Crystal  Valentine is his administrative assistant and new to the staff as of August, 2006.  Libby Salmon is the Youth Center Director and City Pool Manager.  She has been on staff for 10 years.  Matt Rodden  has been on staff as a Program Coordinator for two years now and helps to organize and oversee the various tournaments hosted. Amanda Casey is new on staff as a Program Coordinator at the YouthCenter as of July, 2007 and is the Summer Recreation Program Director.  Jerry Farmer and his staff are housed at the Community First Bank Sports Complex and manage all of the daily upkeep of the facilities. 

            Together, this staff works daily to ensure that the programs that they house and manage are the most effective possible.
